Quality Assurance Technician

SUMMARY: In this role, you’ll be ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for quality, as well as other fabrication shop responsibilities. The daily tasks consist of performing quality checks at various stages of fabrication, identifying quality concerns, creating SOPs, and tracking progress.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for conducting quality checks at various stages of the manufacturing/fabrication process.
Participates/conducts quality management system audits utilizing established standards.
Manage and analyze quality problems, conduct root cause investigations and determine appropriate corrective/preventive action(s). Facilitate continuous improvement activities throughout the production processes.
Write, and amend as necessary, SOPs for each workstation in the fabrication shop.
Conducts audits to determine SOPs are followed to ensure consistent high-quality products.
Track progress and implement changes according to quality parameters.
Reviews project specifications to identify quality compliance requirements, communicates with the project management department to ensure a clear understanding of scope related to quality.
Assist with inventory management to plan forecast production needs.
Verify and train employees to adhere to the standards set by the company
Develop and maintain inspection reports.
Communicating quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
Ensuring that preventive maintenance is completed and followed per the equipment manufactures requirements.
Be a Liaison of our ERP systems and assist employees with the Fabrication Tracking.
Material Monitoring as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3+ years of quality inspection and assurance experience required.
Experience writing SOPs and tracking progress.
Experience with production planning, inventory, and material scheduling.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Global Shop.
Proficiency with MS Office.

Pay Range: $55K to $65K, DOE
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Location: Lakewood, near 6th and Sheridan
