Position Summary:
Key Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Utility Helper to support the Maintenance Department in routine plant maintenance, equipment checks, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player with basic mechanical skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in repairs and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment under supervision.
Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and report any issues.
Support facility upkeep including basic repairs, groundskeeping, and structure maintenance (e.g., sprinklers, roofs).
Operate forklifts and company vehicles (valid CA driver’s license & forklift certification required).
Monitor and maintain boiler room operations including chemical levels and equipment functionality.
Fill in for absent staff in various departments as needed.
Complete and submit all required logs, timesheets, and material requisition forms accurately and on time.
Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts to prevent production delays.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow all safety protocols and work cooperatively with all departments.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
Valid California driver’s license (Forklift certification preferred).
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
Must be flexible for shift work and emergency call-outs.
Comfortable working in varying conditions including hot, cold, outdoor, and confined environments.
