Position Summary:
The Office Assistant supports daily administrative and clerical functions within a warehouse environment. This role bridges communication between warehouse staff, drivers, and management, ensuring smooth coordination of shipping, inventory, and documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and inventory reports
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with customer inquiries
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to track order status and resolve discrepancies
- Input data into inventory and logistics software systems
- File and organize paperwork related to deliveries, returns, and inventory
- Assist with scheduling pickups, deliveries, and driver dispatch
- Support HR or payroll tasks such as timekeeping and attendance tracking
- Order office supplies and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative experience (warehouse or logistics setting a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
