Experienced Residential & Light Commercial Electrician in St.Louis MO
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and fix electrical issues in residential and light commercial settings, including circuit failures, faulty wiring, and system malfunctions.
Live Work (Energized Panels): Safely perform work within energized electrical panels, strictly following safety protocols and standards such as NFPA 70E and OSHA.
Fixture Installation & Replacement: Install, replace, and repair electrical fixtures such as lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, ceiling fans, and appliances.
Rough-in Wiring: Carry out new electrical installations in construction projects, including conduit bending, wire pulling, and installing boxes and panels in accordance with blueprints and electrical codes.
Wiring & System Repairs: Conduct in-home wiring troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades efficiently and accurately.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installations.
Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety standards.
Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, explaining issues, solutions, and progress effectively.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3+ years of proven experience as a residential and/or commercial electrician.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex electrical circuits and systems.
Safety Knowledge: Comfortable and experienced working safely within energized panels, with a solid understanding of relevant safety protocols.
Versatility: Ability to switch seamlessly between residential service calls and new construction rough-in projects.
Licensing: Valid [State-specific] Journeyman Electrician License (if applicable).
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle required.
Tools: Own a comprehensive set of basic electrical hand tools, including:
- Cordless drill with various bits
- Wrenches and sockets
- Screwdrivers (various types)
- Multi-meter
- Wire strippers
- Pliers (lineman's, needle-nose, etc.)
- Other essential electrical tools
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in diverse weather conditions and confined spaces.
Good manual dexterity and corrected vision for detailed electrical work.
