 Job Summary

The City of Albuquerque is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to support a variety of municipal operations. This role involves manual labor tasks related to maintenance, construction, landscaping, and public infrastructure upkeep.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance of city streets, parks, buildings, and public spaces

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely

  • Assist with loading/unloading materials and supplies

  • Clean and prepare job sites, including debris removal

  • Support skilled tradespeople as needed

  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards promptly

  • Respond to emergency work orders or weather-related tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous experience in general labor, construction, or maintenance a plus

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions

  • Valid driver’s license may be required

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $14.25

  • Benefits may include health coverage, paid time off, and retirement contributions (for full-time roles)

  • Uniforms and safety gear provided


 Available positions:

Multiple General laborers needed from 6 am - 2:30 pm or 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. $14.25   MANY, MANY, OPENINGS!
