HVAC Tech

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and/or commercial customers. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Communicate with customers to explain issues and provide recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working order.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including after-hours or weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or HVAC training program preferred.
• Valid HVAC license or certification (EPA Section 608 Certification required).
• 2plus years of HVAC installation and/or repair experience.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical components, and controls.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of environments, including rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces.

Preferred Traits:

• NATE certification (a plus)
• Experience with smart thermostats and energy-efficient systems
• Comfort working in both residential and light commercial settings
