Project Engineer

Minutemen Direct is recruiting for Project Engineers who will support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. Candidates must have a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural engineering. You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, production teams, and external partners to help ensure projects are delivered on time, with scope, and to quality standards. Pay is $60-$80K range.

Recent graduates are welcome to apply and grow their technical and project management skills in a hands on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering and construction/manufacturing projects
• Support project managers with scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, purchasing) and external vendors
• Help prepare project reports, submittals, RFIs, and change documentation
• Track materials, costs, and timelines to support project budgets
• Conduct site visits or shop floor walkthroughs to monitor progress and quality
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company procedures
• Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships and co-ops count)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of construction/manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced project environment

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Exposure to project management or coordination roles
• Familiarity with scheduling tools or ERP systems
• Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, or MEP systems
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or intent to pursue

Work Environment

• Combination of office and field/shop floor work
• May require occasional travel to job sites or client locations
