CLEVELAND, OH
A forklift driver is responsible for operating industrial trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently within warehouses, construction sites, and storage facilities.
Compensation: $19 per hour
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 2:00am
3rd Shift: 12:30am - 11:00am
Key Responsibilities
Operate Forklifts: Safely drive forklifts to load, unload, and move materials to and from storage areas, production zones, and loading docks.
Inventory Management: Utilize radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory, manage stock, and pick orders for shipment.
Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Secure Loads: Properly secure loads before transportation, checking for stability and appropriate stacking to prevent damage.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards, identifying and reporting any potential workplace hazards.
Record Keeping: Complete and maintain accurate logs and records related to inventory, shipments, and equipment condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Certification: Valid forklift operator certification and training in forklift operations.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting and work for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure safe and efficient operation of the forklift, particularly in busy or confined spaces.
Coordination: Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity for accurate handling of goods and materials.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and report issues.
