Position Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials. The operator ensures accuracy in order handling, inventory functions, and warehouse organization. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks depending on assignment) safely and efficiently.
Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
Perform accurate picking, staging, and storage of products.
Use RF scanners or inventory systems (if required) to track and locate materials.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues.
Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse tasks.
Communicate with supervisors, leads, and team members in both Spanish and English.
Qualifications
1+ year forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Valid forklift certification (company training may be provided).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual – Must speak, read, and understand both Spanish and English.
Must have steel toe boots (if applicable to your job site).
Ability to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
Basic understanding of warehouse paperwork and safety procedures.
