Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of production management principles, lean manufacturing practices, and effective supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage production planning and scheduling to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain systems for effective inventory management and supply chain coordination.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
- Provide mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and facilitate fabrication processes.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster a high-performing team culture.
Skills
- Proven experience in production management with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Strong background in process improvement techniques.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to fabricate components as needed for production needs.
- Familiarity with quality control measures and standards within the industry.
- Knowledge of supply chain management practices to ensure seamless operations.
