Mechanical Assembly Technician
Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position involves the assembly, fabrication, wiring, and repair of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies used in custom industrial equipment. If you have experience with welding, soldering, pipe fitting, or working with power tools, this is a great opportunity to build specialized systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
? Fabricate and assemble mechanical and electrical sub-systems including transformers, inductors, switches, and buss bars.
? Perform cutting, drilling, threading, and machining on metal and non-metal materials.
? Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
? Perform water or air leak checks on cooling systems and brazed assemblies.
? Insulate, tape, clean, and paint parts and assemblies to specification.
? Wire electrical components in panels and cabinets following schematics and standard practices.
? Cut out cabinet panels and perform fit-up work for electrical enclosures.
? Install hoses and piping for water-cooled components.
? Maintain clean and safe work areas, perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
? Use hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.

Qualifications
? High school diploma or equivalent required.
? Experience in welding, soldering, plumbing, or mechanical assembly is highly preferred.
? Comfortable using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and threaders.
? Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and work in a factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and fumes.
? Average math and problem-solving skills required.
? Must be able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
