We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Café Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing transactions efficiently, maintaining a clean and welcoming front-of-house area, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and answer any questions about the menu or café offerings
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and mobile payments using a POS system
- Ensure the cash register is balanced at the beginning and end of shifts
- Prepare basic beverages or assist in food service when required (depending on café operations)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, register area, and dining space
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient café operations
- Address customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly
- Replenish front-of-house supplies as needed (napkins, straws, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred (especially in food service or hospitality)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
