Lead Technician -Job Description Pay Range: [$20-$24/hour]


Position Overview

The Lead Technician plays a critical role in field operations. This position is responsible for overseeing job site execution, leading technicians, ensuring compliance with IICRC standards, and upholding core values. The Lead Technician serves as a field supervisor, trainer, and liaison between project managers and field teams.

 

Core Responsibilities

Job Site Leadership

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned mitigation, remediation, or reconstruction projects.
  • Supervise and mentor field technicians and temporary labor.
  • Ensure all safety procedures, PPE usage, and OSHA regulations are followed.
  • Conduct morning huddles or briefings to assign duties and relay job expectations with managers.
  • Willing to be on-call. We are a 24/7/365 business for clients.


Execution & Quality Control

  • Execute all scopes of work in accordance with industry standards (IICRC) and company protocol.
  • Document work progress thoroughly using Encircle, DASH, or other company software.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure completion of job tasks at or above customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.


Equipment & Vehicle Responsibility

  • Maintain assigned vehicle and ensure daily inspection logs are completed.
  • Track and maintain job-specific equipment inventory; report damaged or missing equipment promptly.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and returned to the warehouse after use.


 Communication & Documentation

  • Communicate professionally with customers, insurance representatives, project managers, and internal staff.
  • Notify project managers of site conditions, scope deviations, or customer concerns immediately.
  • Upload photos, moisture readings, and job documentation daily per company protocol.

S. Training & Development

  • Assist in training new technicians in company procedures and industry best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and development provided by company.
  • Support the culture of teamwork, integrity, and accountability.

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; IICRC WRT certification required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of field experience in mitigation/restoration.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders.
  • Available for rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
