MONDAY – FRIDAY MORNING SHIFT


A welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the quality and safety of welded structures.


Primary Responsibilities

  1. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.  
  1. Metal Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape metal components to specified dimensions using hand tools, plasma cutters, and metal cutting machines. 
  2. Welding Techniques: Utilize various welding methods such as MIG, TIG, to join metal parts together effectively. 
  3. Equipment Operation: Set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all machinery is in good working condition. 
  4. Quality Control: Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify defects or errors, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and specifications. 
  5. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques and familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in measurements and welds.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the welding process.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
