A floating school cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment within multiple schools in both the west and east side of Cleveland, ensuring that all areas are conducive to learning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Duties: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors; cleaning desks, chairs, and other furniture; and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
  • Maintenance of Supplies: Ensure that cleaning supplies are used safely and effectively and report any shortages or needs for additional supplies to the supervisor.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Always follow health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, such as gloves and masks.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team to maintain the cleanliness of the school and participate in training sessions as required.
  • Special Cleaning Tasks: During school closures, undertake routine cleaning tasks such as high-level dusting, floor stripping, and sealing.
