Safety Professional
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Professional to lead safety efforts across our construction projects as a direct hire. Based in Grafton, OH, this full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring jobsite safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and training.

- Pay: $100-115k; depending on experience
- Shift: Monday – Friday 7-3:30, with flexibility

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP)
- Conduct regular job-site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions
- Investigate incidents, manage workers' comp claims, and support return-to-work strategies
- Maintain emergency response plans and coordinate safety drills
- Deliver safety training, including orientation, equipment safety, CPR/first aid, and compliance topics
- Ensure subcontractor and company-wide safety compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies
- Support risk management efforts, including hazardous materials handling and fleet safety
- Communicate regularly with leadership and represent the company in industry safety forums
Requirements:
- 5+ years of safety experience in commercial construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, and Workers’ Comp regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of learning reporting platforms (e.g., Canvas, Samsara)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, tech-friendly, and a proactive problem-solver
- Team-focused with a positive, professional attitude
