Job Description: Inside Sales / Counter Sales Associate

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Store Manager

Summary/Objective: The inside sales/counter associate will process parts ordered by walk in customers, phone orders and internet orders. You are the expert when it comes to parts, applications, cataloging, pricing, stock quantities, etc. The inside sales/counter sales associate, in most cases, is considered the main contact with the customers. 

Essential Functions:

1: SELL SELL SELL

2: You are expected to exhaust all possible opportunities in finding products for customers before saying we do not have the part. 

3: Always dress, talk, and always present yourself in a professional manner.

4: Always bill customers for core products. If a customer forgets or does not turn in a core, you must charge them for the core.

5: Answer phones professionally “thank you for calling car parts warehouse, this is John Doe, how may I assist you?” 

6: Refer all billing questions to the accountant at the main office.

7: Signing retail customers up on car parts club for retail customers retention program. 

8: You are responsible for putting away stock, cycle counting, and pulling parts.

9: Take deliveries to customers.

10: Make outgoing calls to customers and potential customers daily. 

Work Environment: 

This job is operated both in a store front and warehouse environment. 

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work will vary by position and department when the manager is off or as business needs dictate.
