Welder
About the Role:
A fast-paced metal fabrication shop is looking for a skilled and reliable Welder to join our welding team in Berea, OH. This employee will plan, lay out and perform complex welding operations on a wide variety of metals, including stainless steel, and alloys (nickel alloy) in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
What we can do for YOU:
- Pay: $20-40/hr
- Fabrication Welder: $20–$30/hr based on experience + $3,000 sign-on bonus
- Master Welder (10+ years MIG & TIG): $30–$40/hr based on interview + $5,000 sign-on bonus
- Full time; about 55-hour work weeks
- Shift: Mon-Wed 4:00pm-2:30am, Thurs/Friday 3:30pm-1:30am, and Sat 12-5pm with the first Saturday of every month being optional

Key Responsibilities:
- Performs GMAW, and GTAW welding on different types of materials (steel, stainless, and nickel alloys).
- Works on traditional projects and can perform most fit ups that AECO requires.
- Understands advanced blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation.
- Works independently regularly, and judgement can be trusted.
- Understands time expectations and most jobs are completed within time estimates.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of MIG and TIG experience, ideally welding large stainless steel or alloy parts
- Must be proficient in overhead, vertical, and horizontal welds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Performs GMAW, and GTAW welding with at least one certification.
- Proficient with measuring tools; tape measure, micrometers and calipers, etc.
- Must have your own basic tools (crescent wrench, tape measure, combination square, wire cutters, weld hood, etc.).
- Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required. Plant facilities do not have air conditioning.
