Forklift Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Product Movement: Move product throughout the warehouse facility, including loading and unloading trucks, staging and sequencing products. 
• Order Picking: Pick and pull products based on order lists or inventory needs, often using scan guns to verify accuracy. 
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and utilizing warehouse management systems to track orders and maintain accurate inventory records. 
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks with finished products and incoming materials, ensuring careful handling. 
• Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, conduct pre-operation equipment checks, report malfunctions, and follow all safety protocols. 
• Physical Demands: May involve lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. 
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals. 

• Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels.
