About the Role:

A fast-paced metal fabrication shop is looking for a skilled and reliable Weld Supervisor to lead our welding team in Berea, OH. This role is ideal for an experienced welder ready to step into a leadership position—or someone already in a supervisory role—who understands the demands of hands-on welding, quality control, and production flow.

What we can do for YOU:

• Pay: $28-38/hr
• Full time; about 55-hour work weeks
• Shift: 5:45am – 4:15pm; must be able to work 3 Saturdays a month

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily welding operations, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Provide hands-on support in MIG and TIG welding as needed
• Oversee welders and fabricators, assist with training, and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and job specifications
• Perform visual inspections and ensure compliance with welding standards
• Assist with scheduling, job planning, and communicating with management
• Maintain documentation, including basic computer data entry for production tracking or inspection reports

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years welding experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong hands-on skills in MIG and TIG welding
• Certificate Weld Inspector (CWI or equivalent) knowledge preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Familiarity with quality standards and basic inspection techniques
• Competent with basic computer tasks (emails, spreadsheets, reports)
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
