Now Hiring an Inspector for a Great Company in Kent, OH!


Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Visually inspect raw materials, in-progress goods, and finished products


  • Use calipers, gauges, and micrometers to measure products


  • Compare inspection results to quality standards


  • Document findings in logs, charts, and forms


  • Suggest adjustments to production processes or corrective actions


  • Provide feedback to supervisors and other staff


  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and conduct follow-up inspections


  • Work with other departments to improve quality and safety


  • Position is responsible for in process inspection, final inspection, control of nonconforming material, and record keeping within the Quality Department.


  • Read and interpret part prints and air/electric schematics.


  • Use various types of inspection equipment (i.e., ultrasonic thickness tester, digital calipers, levels, measuring tape, digital camera, torque wrenches, basic computer skills)


  • Visually inspects material or product for cracks, pits, corrosion, poor finish, incomplete welds, weld splatter and sharp edges.


  • Ability to inspect and measure various types of material and products and from various manufacturing processes such as: castings, stampings, laser cut blanks, press brake, welding, sub assemblies, electrical components, hydraulics, cables, plating, etc.


  • Compare product with part prints, schematics, build specifications, quality standards and approved samples to ensure product quality and assembly suitability.


  • Documentation of inspections in both written and electronic form.


  • Performs all work in accordance with approved procedures.


  • Identify nonconforming material and notify appropriate personnel and route material to next step.


  • Ability to effectively communicate and document nonconforming material findings, and work with other departments to contain nonconforming material.


Schedule: (1st) 6:00am - 4:00pm (Monday - Thursday) + Possible OT Friday


Pay: $19.00 per hour (Paid Weekly)

This position is eligible for raises during the 1st year of up to $1 at 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months totaling $3.00 per hour year 1.
