Quality Control

SUMMARY

Plans and coordinates quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties. Must be able to use caliper and micrometer, and input data into a computer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·      Investigate all customer complaints and writes corrective actions reports, such as 5-Why, 5x3 Why, 8-D, 5P, etc., as needed by the customer.

·      Prepare all PPAP documentation, such as Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc., as needed by the customer.

·      Perform Gage R&R and Cpk analysis, using various gages, such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, etc.;

·      Devises instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.

·      Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.

·      May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.

·      May manage quality control programs, such as document control, gage calibration, etc.
