JOB SUMMARY: The Mixer Driver will operate heavy-duty concrete mixer trucks to mix concrete, deliver it to various buildings on-site, and pour it into precast concrete forms. They will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the mixer trucks and the overall batch plant operations.

Key performance objectives are:

· Providing concrete to the shops promptly to maximize production efficiency.

· Maintaining clean mixer trucks and batch plants.

· Minimizing downtime.

· Producing quality concrete that meets specs and quality control standards.

· Contributing to KOI's overall success in other ways as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Other duties may be assigned.

· Operate Mixer Truck – Loan and mix concrete at the batch plant, then pour into precast forms in the shops.

· Clean and Maintain Mixer Trucks- (This is a crucial duty of this role.) The Mixer Driver will be expected to clean the trucks and maintain their cleanliness. Assist with maintenance of the mixer trucks as coordinated with the maintenance manager.

· Batch Plant Operations – Assist with daily batch plant operations. This includes loading hoppers, batching concrete, and other tasks as needed.

· Lead Batch Plant Cleaning and Maintenance – (This is a crucial duty of this role.) Lead daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed cleaning and maintenance tasks. Help determine what tasks are required and ensure such tasks are performed. Constantly work towards the goal of having a clean, well-organized plant with minimal downtime.

· Special Batch Plant Projects – Assist with special batch plant projects such as making modifications or additions, as needed.

· Quality Control – Assist with quality control as directed by the Quality Control Manager. This may include tasks related to concrete testing, aggregate testing, documentation, organization, and/or other areas.

· As instructed by managers. These tasks may be unrelated to the Mixer Driver’s other responsibilities listed here. Still, the Mixer Driver must remember that KOI is a small business where employees must wear multiple hats. KOI’s ultimate success is the responsibility of all employees, and we must be open to tasks to help accomplish this.
