The Maintenance Technician is responsible for efficient management of day-to-day activities which includes:

· Installing

· Troubleshooting

· Repairing

· Maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites’ business goals and objectives.

The Maintenance Technician duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematics and utilizes work orders to record required maintenance and service activity
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests equipment and make adjustments as needed
  • Recommends new spare parts and procedures and participates in spare parts management
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building/grounds as required

Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years in the mechanical maintenance field servicing a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Must be well versed in troubleshooting/maintaining industrial equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude in regard to conveyors, shredders, granulators, air handling, water treatment, and other industrial equipment is desired.
  • Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting is a plus
  • Experience in fabrication/welding
