Key Responsibilities:
•Analyze transactions to ensure compliance to US GAAP and execute monthly and quarterly close processes in SAP and HFM, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations of such areas as derivatives. (50%)
•Perform variance analysis, analyze financial statements and prepare total company roll-forward schedules to support the External Reporting process. (15%)
•Provide support to internal and external audit activities including preparation of footnotes and audit supporting schedules. (10%)
•Assist in technical accounting analysis (i.e. lease accounting classification testing) and analyze proper accounting treatment. (10%)
•Develop relationships and work closely with business partners to continuously improve the close process. (5%)
•Participate in process, control, and financial reporting improvement projects. (5%)
•Perform self-assessment testing on internal controls (5%)
Requirements:
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant II plays a critical role in planning and executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and reporting process of Corporate Operations Accounting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with various cross-functional partners, including Legal, Real Estate, IT, Procurement, Tax & Treasury, and others.
Required Qualifications:
•Undergraduate Business or Accounting degree
•Minimum 3 years of experience
•Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
•Strong analytical skills
•Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload
•Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
•Ability to work on cross functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions
•Flexible, adaptable, and proactive team player
•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications:
•CPA certification or CPA candidate
•Solid SAP or ERP systems and process experience preferred
