Position Summary:

 

* The product marketing specialist will be responsible for supporting various activities related to product marketing, data analysis and commercial support activities.

* This includes providing competitive analysis, properly positioning and promoting products in the market, assisting with defining product features and options, and coordinating, as necessary, product continuous improvement or corrective actions.

* The Product Marketing Specialist works cross functionally with sales, engineering and operations to ensure that assigned products are defined and supported in such a manner that customers perceive the value and desirability of the products in the customers’ applications.

 

Responsibilities:

 

* The product marketing specialist supports department market research activities including assignments to become “resident expert” on assigned market segments. In addition, providing reports and detailed analysis to assist the team in analyzing product trends, business objectives, revenue, gross margins, cost etc.

 

* The product marketing specialist works closely with sales, engineering and others to provide definition of new products including technical specifications, competitive analysis, specifics of markets served, expected multi-year sales forecast, return on investment and project justifications.

 

* The product marketing specialist develops and researches technical and commercial product requirements and compiles this data into a product marketing requirement document (MRD)

 

* The product marketing specialist works cross functionally with engineering and operations and operations engineering personnel to achieve MRD defined goals.

 

* Supports concepts and activities for new product launch plans. Provides data to establish target pricing including any options and provide differentiated feature value assessment.

 

* Develop ideas to support strategic sales plan for DC load sales: what markets / customers to look for, how to position the product versus the competition, key features, customer value proposition.

 

* The product marketing specialist provides marketing application support for assigned products. This may include the research and write up of product data sheets, application notes, training materials, press releases and marketing bulletins as well as participation with field sales personnel to develop new product sales opportunities to meet budgeted sales goals.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the product marketing specialist position will have the following educational background and experience:

* BSEE or MSEE, preferably with emphasis on power electronics

 

* MBA with marketing focus desirable.

 

* Minimum of 2–5 years of technical application, sales or product management experience (programmable DC Loads and/or Power supplies preferred)

 

* Strong analytical and data analysis skills (Expert level Excel and D-Base Management)

 

* Engineering design experience very helpful

 

* Excellent writing skills and experience with Windows Office tools, Strong Powerpoint skills

 

* Ability to articulate points clearly and possess strong presentation skills

 

* A demonstrated ability to work in a self directed and independent manner, prioritizing work appropriately.

 

* A demonstrated ability to launch new technology products in a highly technical and competitive market environment.

 

* Ability to draw conclusions that are data driven.

 

Other:

 

Pay rate - $26.58 per hour

Duration - 6 months
