The Paralegal will support the management team generally in the Company’s Middlefield facility. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, motivated, and a self-starter, able to work well both as part of a team and independently, with minimal day-to day supervision in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
Responsibilities:
With direction, draft, review and negotiate customer contracts, confidentiality and other agreements, and correspondence; coordinate approvals and signatures of documents
Maintain patent database and coordinate patent review process with appropriate management personnel
Assist with management of Company contract templates, including creating and updating templates according to guidelines, policies or legal requirements and maintaining database for templates
Coordinate legal efforts with outside counsel as needed
Assist with drafting, coordinating and conducting legal department trainings to internal clients on a variety of topics, including compliance matters and contract processes and procedures
Support various ongoing legal projects
Perform legal research on an “as needed” basis
Perform special projects as needed
Requirements:
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Minimum of ten years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
Paralegal certificate
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) preferred
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) contract experience a plus
Must have excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time-management skills, accuracy and attention to detail are essential
Must have the ability to multitask and set priorities to meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, in a fast paced environment; must be a self-starter able to work well under pressure
Personal responsibility and integrity a must
Must be a US person
