Operates all electronic sorting equipment on both MPL 1 and MPL 2. Expected to meet all production requirements, maintaining quantity and quality of the finished product by making all necessary adjustments needed. Maintains all electronic equipment on both lines. Performs preventative maintenance to equipment as scheduled or required. Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), policies and procedures, and safety procedures while performing all job duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works with the MPL personnel to ensure that BDG product specification and scheduled requirements are met. Continuous monitoring of all lines, adjusting equipment as required maintaining quality attributes demanded by the schedule while operating the electronic sorting equipment on MPL 1 & MPL 2. Includes adjusting, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment as needed.
• Check QC test papers to make sure specification are being met. Work with QC Inspectors requesting additional tests as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of complex industrial electronic equipment, which includes but is not limited to: optical & laser sorting machines, length grader sorting machines, metal detectors, bar code systems and miscellaneous sensing equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled or as required. Coordinates the maintenance and repairs with the MPL Manager or Maintenance Manager.
• Bench check and repair electronic devices or printed circuit boards down to the component level.
• Performs overhaul, cleaning, repairs, testing, and calibration of by-product line equipment during post season.
• Maintains record of daily duties performed in shares thru email with other technical operators. Also any assigned calibration check lists required for HACCP documentation.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Manager, Supervisor (Maintenance or MPL).
POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Requires formal electronic training, i.e. Jr. College, trade or military electronics school, AA or AS degree in electronics or equivalent technical school.
• Two years experience in digital and analog electronics, preferably in an industrial setting. Previous experience in operating machinery required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential to work with other departments to perform the duties of this position.
• Basic electronic troubleshooting skills are essential. Basic math skills and use of computer is necessary.
• Prolonged standing while operating machinery. Requires lifting of up to 50 lb. on occasional basis. Requires ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Works in a variety of environments not limited to: extreme dust, high-level noise and heat, occasional work in cold storage areas.

• Hours: Must be available to work any shift (Day, Swing & Graveyard) (Any day of the week) plant operates 24/7
• Pay rate - $25.00 per hour
