Assembler II
The assembler pieces together the different components of manufactured products, and refers to detailed instructions, drawings, and bills of materials to learn how to assemble a product. The assembler will use hand tools to complete the project. With comprehensive experience the assembler can move into jobs that involve more skill and greater responsibility.
Qualifications:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Interpret basic schematics
Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
Ability to take responsibility for quality of work performed
Ability to effectively write and read English
Basic soldering skills
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
Technical Skills
Experience with a variety of hand tools used in mechanical and electrical cable assembly including air and electric power tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and bills of material
Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies per instructions and industry accepted practices
Aid in the development of wire lists and assembly instructions for new products
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Properly use assembly equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job defined in work order.
Documents actions by completing production forms.
Performs routine visual inspection of parts, sub-assemblies and completed products for quality purposes.
Meets production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three years experience assembling electromechanical devices or general knowledge of assembly processes and/or equivalent qualifying job experience
Must be able to work overtime when warranted
Pay Rate: $10/hr
Shift & Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30am – 4:00pm
