Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Serves as main delivery and expedite driver while assisting in the stockroom and shipping and receiving department when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Shipping/Receiving responsibilities include:
• Accurately receiving materials from suppliers and shipping materials to customers in compliance with all regulations and international trade guidelines. 
• Receive materials and visually inspect for damage 
• Unpack materials, verify count and enter into Exact system 
• Warehouse materials in proper location for use in production or to fulfill customer orders 
• Pull materials per production orders, pack, and ship to customers 
• Receive returned materials from customers and process through the Return Material Authorization process 
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Rearrange/organize materials to minimize floor space requirements and walk time 
• Actively participate in lean projects related to material management

Driving responsibilities include:

• Responsible for all local supplier material pickups and deliveries 
• Establishing regular “milk run” delivery schedule for efficient use of time, considering normal traffic conditions, location of suppliers, and average pickup needs/demands 
• Expedite deliveries and pickups to customers and suppliers upon request as necessary

• Ability to perform consistent work, which is repetitive in nature, while working within well-defined procedures.
• Service oriented demeanor while performing work demanding high-quality results.
• Decision making centers around examination of facts and established procedure.

 SUCCESS FACTORS/CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to operate computer and software, including basic knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Exact ERP 
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and ability to drive a fork lift, pallet jack, and other equipment as necessary 
• Extensive time walking/standing and some heavy lifting required
• Clean driving record (no tickets or serious violations on record)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma

Pay Rate Range: $14/hr
Shift & Hours: 6:30am - 3:30pm (opportunity for OT)
