General Laborer/Driver

Summary: 

To assist with daily operations.  This position will be doing a lot of driving so please make sure they have this experience along with the General Laborer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Rigging
• Holding tag lines
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Sandblasting
• Keeping the yard and highway clean
• Grinding CH
• All general labor
• Install CT
• Assist others when needed
• Other duties may be assigned

• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to work outdoors
• Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.                                        
• Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.                                                     
• Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
• Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• This position requires a lot of standing, walking, using hands to finger, feel or handle items.  Needs to be able to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as well as hear.  This position will also require a good sense of smell.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Work Environment:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position will require to work near moving mechanical parts and be around toxic or caustic chemicals.  It may also have to endure outdoor weather conditions.  The noise level is loud.  This position is in and out of the shop around grinding and handing all day.

• Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday (Overtime and some weekends may be needed on occasion.)
• Pay rate - 15.50 per hour
• Duration - 6 months
• Temporary position
