Primary Responsibilities

 

·       Ensuring the safety of all workers on the construction site.

·       Assist the Superintendent with implementing the Site Specific Safety Plan.

·       Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

·       Perform weekly Site Safety Audits and inspect the site regularly to identify potential hazards and implement solutions for preventing accidents

·       Conduct safety training for employees, subcontractors, and visitors to the site.

·       Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all workers have the proper equipment.

·       Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.

·       Investigate and document all accidents and incidents that occur on the site and propose measures to prevent future occurrences.

·       Case management of incidents/injuries.

·       Develop a stable working relationship with Client safety representatives.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

 

·       Steel construction Safety knowledge, including familiarity with OSHA regulations and Industry standards

·       Understanding of policies, procedures, manuals, reports, and forms

·       Construction Safety awareness and hazard recognition/mitigation

·       Excellent organizational skills

·       Communication, human relations, and social awareness skills

·       Proficient/Comfortable with required computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project

·       Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedule work)

·       Problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)

 

 

Education / Experience / Certifications

 

·       Construction Technology or Safety-related degree preferred, or 3+ years of construction safety experience

·       OSHA 30 certification minimum, OSHA 500 or CSHP preferred
