Job Title: Construction Foreman

Location: Sugarland,TX

Job Summary:

The Construction Foreman will supervise and coordinate daily activities at the construction site, ensuring that the team adheres to safety standards, construction schedules, and quality control measures. They will lead, manage, and direct the workforce and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the project plans.
• Ensure Safety Standards: Enforce all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Coordinate Project Work: Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor to ensure tasks are completed according to the project schedule.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being performed, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and building codes. Address any issues related to quality as they arise.
• Workforce Management: Assign tasks to workers based on their skills and experience. Manage timekeeping, attendance, and productivity.
• Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during construction, including delays, material shortages, or disputes between workers or contractors.
• Communication: Maintain communication with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on the status of the project and any issues that need to be addressed.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local laws, building codes, and industry standards.
• Site Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and that the construction site is organized, clean, and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in the construction industry, with a focus on leadership or foreman duties.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building codes.
• Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Heavy equipment experience
• Carpentry experience
• Clean criminal background
• Bilingual is a plus but not required

Work Environment:

• This position is based on a construction site, which may include exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and physical demands. PPE (personal protective equipment) is required at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
