Material Handler Opportunity in Wilson, NC

Job Summary

The Material Handler works in a warehouse environment and is primarily responsible to pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment. This role ensures that orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently and timely·

Job Duties and Requirements

• Perform physical activities such as loading, unloading and sorting of goods in the warehouse
• Locating and accurately picking products according to the provided Order Pull Sheets
• Accurate completion of Order Pull Sheets for Customer Service
• Ensure that picked items are correct and undamaged prior to palletizing
• Placing picked products onto a pallet for safe shipment via LTL or Truckload carriers
• Staging pallets for pickup by transportation partners
• Rotate stock first-in, first-out so that older stock ships first
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and shipping dock
• Safe operation of forklift, pallet wrapper and any other equipment required to prepare products for shipment
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required
• Capability to bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail to prevent errors in picking orders
• Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members
• Basic math skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Submit to Drug Screen and Background Check
