Job Title- Parts Cleaner


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Parts Cleaner to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, preparing, and inspecting metal components—primarily custom exhaust and header parts—before they proceed to fabrication, welding, or final assembly. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, follow safety procedures, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and degrease metal parts using solvents, detergents, ultrasonic cleaners, or other approved methods

  • Inspect parts for residue, defects, or damage before and after cleaning

  • Organize and label cleaned parts according to job order and fabrication schedule

  • Perform light sanding, brushing, or media blasting as needed to prepare surfaces for welding or finishing

  • Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and work area

  • Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and shop procedures

  • Communicate any issues or inconsistencies with parts to the production supervisor

  • Assist with material staging and shop support tasks when needed

  • Accurately complete logs or quality control documentation as required


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or automotive shop environment is a plus

  • Basic understanding of metal types and shop tools

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs. regularly

  • Familiarity with solvents, degreasers, and safe chemical handling procedures

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods

  • Team-oriented with good communication skills


Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced shop environment with moderate noise and airborne particles

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals (proper PPE provided)

  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift
