Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Housekeeping/Sanitation Worker for a 6-8 week assignment. In this role, you will be responsible for various cleaning tasks contributing to overall facility upkeep.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow all GMP’s, Company and regulatory safety guidelines in equipment operation and work activities.
- Empty all outside trashcans and clean as required.
- Maintain and remove all trash from grounds daily.
- All Parking lots - Front entrances – Sidewalks
- Clean up and maintain area around open top dumpsters and trash compactor, monitor and load open top dumpsters, maximize loads.
- Mix cleaning chemical dilutions and other compounds, according to formulas. Operate cleaning equipment or machines. Use appropriate means on dry surfaces. Adjust valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or CO2 from sprayer nozzles.
- Scrub, scrape, or power wash machine parts, equipment, structure, etc, using scrapers, brushes, wipes, cleaners, disinfectants, abrasives, vacuums, air hoses and water hoses.
- Use leaf blower to clean back driveways as often as required, at least twice weekly, clean all dock areas as needed and clean beneath Sanitation dock plates monthly.
- Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris and non-salvageable food waste into containers; and remove containers to waste area.
- Use magnet to sweep back parking lot at least weekly.
- Operate riding scrubber and scissors lift to perform various cleaning functions
- Other facility and grounds clean up responding to conditions as they occur.
- Function as a backup/relief for Baler and Waste Areas. Ability to operate the automatic baler, and remove completed bales, operate manual baler including tie off completed bale and unload, participate in the collection and loading of Recycle Materials, weigh, dump, record and load food waste materials, accurately weigh and record all inedible food waste before it is transferred into the super sack, and sort and load damaged pallets
- Address any Quality/GMP compliance issue or concern as directed by your Supervisor.
- Other activities as may be required to meet business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Standing for long periods of time; lifting up to 50lbs; exposure to temperature extremes and conditions working inside and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Specific tasks may also require working at ceiling heights, exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection, working with harsh chemicals, working in a wet, cold/hot dusty environment, and exposure to odors, exposure to and or use of tools and/or work activities that may require various forms of PPE.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Communicate with others both verbally and in writing.
- Be independently mobile
