Set Up Operator Opportunity in Bennettsville, SC

Job Summary

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Set Up Operator to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in our Fabrication Department using a Punch Press Set-up Machine. You must be meticulous and ensure each order is filled accurately. Candidates must have Set-Up Operator/Machine experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up automatic feed, air pin dies, simple and progressive dies, mechanical and hydraulic presses 
• Determine parts to be run and set up for an area or set of presses.
• Set up and install dies into power presses to punch, notch, cut blanks, form or draw metal plates, strips, sheets, or blanks
• Position and align and lock specified dies into machine ram and bed
• Set stops and guides, or install jigs or fixtures for positioning the work piece
• Check the operation of the punch press and the quality of the parts after setting up machine
• Advise supervisor and QC for any quality issues.
• Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers
• Read blue prints and use a variety of measuring instruments
• Keep neat and orderly records of all incoming and outgoing orders
• Train other operators on how to operate the Machine and do some set up.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Maintain 5s responsibilities of assigned work areas

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; Metal Fabrication Set-Up experience required
• Able to work on your feet for 10-hour shifts and lift 45 lbs. regularly
• Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
• Work schedule Monday-Thursday 10hr. and Friday & Saturday 8 to 10 hr.
• Good communication skills
• Submit to Drug Screen and Background Search
• Pay based on experience hourly pay range $17.00-$29.00
