Machine Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to operate and monitor metal bending machines used in the production of automotive parts. The ideal candidate will have experience working with press brakes, CNC bending machines, or manual bending tools in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to quality and safety are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and operate metal bending machines (e.g., press brake, roll bender, CNC benders) to fabricate automotive parts to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work instructions.
• Measure, inspect, and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet dimensional and visual standards.
• Load/unload parts and materials and ensure correct placement in fixtures.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine preventive maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues.
• Keep accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with metal bending processes and machine operation.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts as needed.
