Part-Time Freezer Picker/Warehouse Worker in Wallace, NC
Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Freezer Picker/ Warehouse Worker to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in our Freezer/Cooler department, managing incoming and outgoing orders. Under the supervision of the warehouse manager, you will unload deliveries from trucks, move inventory to the correct shelving location, fulfill orders, and load up trucks for outbound orders. You must be meticulous and ensure each order is filled accurately. We prefer candidates who have some warehouse experience, but we are willing to train.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pull and process orders accurately
- Accurately pack and ship orders in accordance with established Standard
- Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure timely and error-free fulfillment.
- Utilize Order Management System (OMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) for efficient packing, labeling, and shipping operations.
- Assemble boxes and prepare packaging materials to meet the specific requirements of each order.
- Ensure the shipping line is consistently stocked with necessary packaging and
- shipping materials, either proactively or as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to
- cleanliness and organizational standards.
- Meet or exceed defined inbound/outbound metrics to support efficient operations.
- Assist the Inventory Team in the freezer or cooler areas as needed
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and conveyors, to move inventory throughout the facility.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and warehouse policies to maintain a secure and productive workplace.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus
- Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 30 lbs. regularly
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
- Good communication skills
