Part Sorter Opportunity in Wilson, NC

Job Summary

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Part Sorter to join our growing team. In this role, you will work in our sorting department. Under the supervision of the sorting manager. You must be able to read and comprehend part prints and fill out a production traveler in order to correctly sort the parts. You must be able to work safely and have an eye for detail. We prefer candidates who have some machine operator experience, but we are willing to train.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Look at part print to verify part is in tolerance
• If part is out of tolerance for size or visual defect, sort. 
• If gauge is needed, verify correct gauge for dimension that needs to be checked.
• Check ID tag for correct gauge and Master every 2 hours.
• Ask Supervisor what the dimensional tolerance are to sort to.
• If visual defect, sort the parts for visual defect and fill out traveler for scrap.
• If the parts need to be reworked be able to use a grinder or other tools to correct issue.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus
• Able to work on your feet for 8-12-hour shifts and lift 30 lbs. regularly
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills
• Submit to Pre-Employment Screening.
