Job Summary:

The Electrician 1 is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical components of production machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role supports preventive maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and PLC programming under the direction of the Production Manager. The Electrician 1 also serves as a backup to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, fixtures, motors, and control equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues
• Install and modify wiring and conduit per NEC standards
• Perform preventive maintenance and support production uptime
• Assist with general maintenance tasks and equipment installations
• Program PLCs under supervision and report equipment issues
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and report hazards
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Industrial electrical and general maintenance experience
• PLC programming knowledge preferred
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, squatting, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
