For now they would work about 20-30 hours per week and the pay starts at $19-23 per hour. Their hours per week and length of assignment really just depends on the strength of the candidate.
To provide support to the accounting team in multiple ways with a dedicated focus on Accounts Payable. This position is responsible for all recording and posting activities related to accounts payable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized. This position is responsible for –
· promptly and accurately processing invoices for payment
· ensuring accurate coding and entry
· reconciling vendor statements
· issuing payments
· responding to vendor inquiries
· maintains all appropriate records and documentation for history and auditing purposes.
· Continually reviewing the accounts payable process to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls.
· maintain accounts payable files
· assist with month-end closing activities
· preparing journal entries
· reconciling G/L accounts
· assist and support Accounting team in all areas as needed.
· Maintain office supplies and equipment.
· Handle office communication and correspondence
· performs other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting or with a business concentration
In lieu of education, 2-4 years of accounts payable or accounting related experience
· Advanced user of Microsoft Excel with capability to utilize pivot tables and v-lookups (preferred).
· Ability to pass drug screen, credit and background check
