The Machine Operator is required to set up, operate and adjust equipment used in the production of metal handles. This equipment could be the tube mill, powder painting equipment, assembly equipment or injection molding machines. Machine Operators will generally be assigned to one particular area but will be required to be cross trained in other areas.
Primary Responsibilities: The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of the equipment and must pay particular attention to the following.
Safety awareness and safe equipment operation
Product Quality
Production efficiency
Meeting the Machine Operator requirements as outlined in the Machine Operator Program.
Interpret specifications and written work instructions
Observe company policies and procedures
Able to conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to teamwork and continual improvement.
Must be able to work well with other employees
Secondary Responsibilities: All other duties as assigned by the Lead Operator
Requirements: This position will require frequent lifting and bending pushing and pulling when performing tool changeovers, palletizing product and performing other minor maintenance functions. Applicants must be able to perform the following in an 8 hour shift.
20 pound lifts – 1,000 per shift
50 pound lifts – 20 per shift
Education / Experience: High school diploma required. Experience operating equipment a plus.
Reporting Relationship: This position takes direction from the Lead Operator they are assigned to.
