Secondary Machine Operator

The Secondary Machine Operator is required to perform manual or semi-automated activities that cannot be performed efficiently with automated production equipment. Primary Responsibilities: The Secondary Machine Operator is responsible for operating manual or semi –automatic work areas which include, but are not limited to: manual packaging of products, operation of cap and handle assembly fixtures, product rework, handle gripping etc. In addition, the Secondary Machine Operator must pay particular attention to the following: Safety awareness and safe equipment operation Product Quality Production efficiency Specifications and written work instructions Observe company policies and procedures Able to conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to teamwork and continual improvement. Must be able to work well with other employees Secondary Responsibilities: All other duties as assigned by the Production Manager Requirements: This position will require some lifting and bending pushing and pulling when handling materials and finished product, palletizing product and performing other light assembly functions. Applicants must be able to perform the following in an 8 hour shift. 20 pound lifts – 100 per shift Education / Experience: High school diploma required. Manufacturing experience a plus. Reporting Relationship: This position takes direction from the Production Manager Call In Line: 217-234-7300 ext. 826. Potential Hazards: Slips, Trips, and Falls. Staining from lifting and bending. Possible cuts and abrasions from handling the tubing. Noise exposure.
