EXPERIENCE -
- 2+ years shipping-receiving experience

JOB DUTIES -
- Moves freight, stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles,
ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
- Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Tracks and updates shipping schedule on whiteboard and assembly supervisor.
- Coordinates inbound shipping in conjunction with Purchasing and Production Scheduling departments.
- Determines shipping methods, routes, container packaging fill levels, and rates for materials to be shipped,
including land or sea containers for international shipments.
- Prepares documents, such as packing lists, bills of lading, shipping orders, route materials, Nafta International
paperwork, etc.
- Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting,
accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Examines shipment contents and compares with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Inspects product as final stage of Quality checks to make sure product is packaged and banded appropriately to
handle travel time and location of destination.
- Executes Shipping Duties after normal shift hours, as needed, based on shipping schedule changes.
- Keep the assigned workstation swept and cleaned as necessary, keep clutter and trip hazards out of work areas.
- Use PPE, per training, as required for the specific task being performed.
Potential hazard exposures may include: strains from moderate-level lifting, chemical exposure, cuts from sharp objects, pinch points near machinery, cuts and abrasions from using power tools, work area includes forklifts and other material handling equipment, (burns for welders)
