VANCOUVER, WA
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking Structural Flux Core Welder/Fabricators to work in a fabrication shop environment for our client in Vancouver, WA. You’ll bring consistent welding experience and structural shop familiarity—preferably with heavy metals and large-scale projects (think dams, bridges, and gate structures).
Pay: Competitive based on skill and experience $30–$35/hr
Schedule:
6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities

Perform flux core welding, including 1" 3G D1.5 test plate (fillet welds, vertical), and demonstrate strong ability to pass industrial weld tests

Work on structural steel fabrication—particularly stiffener plates and large-scale structural components (e.g., bridge/ dam gate work)

Maintain discipline in welding setup: line management, hose control, and workspace organization

Requirements

Stable, consistent work history in structural welding or shop fabrication settings

Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) proficiency is mandatory; ability to interpret weld symbols, sizes, and profiles per drawings

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Strong mechanical aptitude—layout, fit-up, and proper prep work in heavy-metal environments

Physical ability to setup and operate welding equipment following specifications and procedures

Work Environment
You’ll work in a shop with heavy structural fabrication equipment, cutting processes, and robust safety protocols. Expect hands-on welding environments with exposure to heat, sparks, and the need for clean, disciplined work habits. PPE is required, and you must be punctual for testing, orientation, and subsequent shifts.
