Forklift Operator - Structural Steel

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator with structural steel loading and unloading experience. This is not a pallet-specific or small-item warehouse position—experience must be directly related to handling heavy structural steel materials. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in this field or a similar industry.

Pay: $20-$30/hr

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move structural steel materials.

• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.

• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient loading/unloading operations.

• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

• Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

Forklift Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ forklift operating experience with structural steel or similar materials (not palletized or small goods).

• Strong knowledge of load securing and weight distribution for large steel products.

• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, load diagrams, and safety guidelines.

• Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as needed.
