Shop Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking someone experienced with Industrial labor and procedures to work as a Shop Technician for a Fire Prevention services client located in the Portland area.

JOB DUTIES:

 Technician work in a shop where all the portable fire extinguishers that require internal maintenance are serviced.

• Inspect cylinders

• Discharge cyclinders

• Disassemble cylinders

• Clean and replace parts

• Inspect parts internal conditions

• Refill parts with chemicals and recharge with nitrogen/compressed gas

• Check for leaks

• Clean up and tag parts

• Administrative/ documentation work for invoicing

• Work with forklifts, mechanical cranes, lifts, etc

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Standing/walking

• Lifting extinguishers and cylinders up to 75 lbs (most often 20lbs or less)

• Working with hand tools

• Pneumatics

• Quality control : looking for failures on the cylinder or valves. 

• Take direction and follow directions

• Good attitude!

JOB DETAILS:

• Mon-Friday

• 8:00am - 4:30pm

• $22/hr to start with room for wage growth once you pick things up!
