Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a six week, temporary project in Portland, OR.The person in this position will support the turnover and transition of several facility locations across South and Northeast Portland. This role involves light demolition, furniture relocation, fixture installation, and general site prep and cleanup. The ideal candidate is flexible, efficient, and detail-oriented, with a strong background in general construction or facilities work.
Pay: $28-$35/hr
Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Perform light demolition and remove fixtures such as clocks, whiteboards, industrial curtains, vinyl signage, shelving bracing, and concrete anchors

Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment

Deconstruct and reconstruct plexiglass walls with steel supports

Mount and install shelves, TVs, and artwork

Salvage and remove light infrastructure, including copper piping and cord reels

Prepare spaces for move-in or move-out, ensuring thorough cleanup and organization

Safely operate hand and power tools

Drive between multiple job sites as needed
Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

Proven experience with general construction, facility turnover, or light demolition

Skilled in precision installation and deconstruction of shelving, furniture, and fixtures

Competent in basic mechanical and electrical systems for safe decommissioning tasks

Able to lift and move heavy objects

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided; insurance approval required)

Forklift certification preferred but not required

Must supply personal tools (preferred)

Background check and Motor Vehicle Record check required
