Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a graveyard shift Maintenance Technician for a direct hire role with a manufacturing company located in Clackamas, OR. The person in this position will perform maintenance and repairs on encapsulation processing equipment and packaging equipment.
PAY: $34-$39/hr
Regular Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM but will train on day shift
Note: Position may exceed 40 hours per week based on business needs.
On-Call Status: Must be available to be on-call and work 6-7 day work weeks based on production needs.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on plant utilities and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems using test instruments when necessary.

Assist production teams and ensure daily schedules are completed.

Install new equipment and assist with difficult setups.

Assist with training on equipment operation across the facility.

Participate in machinery setup for scheduled production runs and make running adjustments to ensure maximum production and quality.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production downtime; diagnose, prioritize, replace, or repair parts.

Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled and repair unscheduled interruptions to minimize downtime.

Work as a team with operators, leads, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure operations continue smoothly.

Monitor equipment conditions and anticipate potential failures to prevent unnecessary downtime.

Assist with basic facility maintenance needs (chillers, boilers, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) as needed.

Contact vendors to ensure timely procurement of parts and supplies.

Stay updated with job-related tests and certifications as required by the cGMP, quality environment.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of industrial mechanical experience.

Valid Driver's License.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues (read and follow electrical schematics).

Ability to diagnose and repair PLCs systems using laptops.

Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred.

Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology or technical classes related to the job preferred

Prior Forklift Certification or ability to obtain.

Experience in fast-paced food manufacturing/production environments.

Knowledge of low voltage (24V) systems.

Experience working with a variety of teams (management, operators, engineers, etc)

Experience in hands-on, reactive maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

Previous experience with PLCs, gearboxes, camshafts, and conveyors.

Basic shop math associated with maintenance activities and metrics.

Must pass a drug screen (we do not test for THC) and a background check in accordance with company standards.
